There used to be a word in English used frequently not very long ago, "Misogynist" !!!
It implies a man who hates women...let's not bother ourselves with the etymological origins... that is better left to Norman Lewis anyways :P
Because of the inherent progress Indian society has seen in recent years ... exposing itself with the bombardment of ideas which were previously hidden in the closets. These ideas are now part of our daily discussions, news scoops and thanks heaven have now become a part of our mainstream cinema(Kantaben, Dostana etc... somehow ...Karan Johar can never have enough of it...I wonder why :P ).This progress has lent itself to a developement, where statements like " I hate men" still remain reminder of the vain women emancipation movements of the 70s,80s,90s,2000 and in the years to come ... statements like "I hate women" have been conscpicuous by its absence.
Now if a man say " I hate men" which means he is claiming to be a "misogynist", he is hardly ever taken seriously and there starts the speculation about his "orientation". And as a defence mechanism, we simply don't hear such statements much these days leading to extinction to our dodo of a word " Misogynist".
More blah later !!!
